QUARTERLY NATIONAL REVIEW MAGAZINE
This magazine was first
published in 1963 to 1968 as The Australian German Shepherd Dog Review.
It was reintroduced during 1974 in a different format as The German Shepherd
Dog Review and was to take on the title of The German Shepherd Dog National
Review on its second publication in 1976. The current title, German Shepherd
Dog Quarterly National Review was adopted when regular publication
of the magazine in the present format, four times per year coinciding with
the seasons, began in July 1986.

Response Dog - Uno the Hero
The December 2001 edition
of our National magazine "The GSD Quarterly National Review" carried the
brilliant story of Uno the German Shepherd Dog. Uno was involved
with helping out after the tragedy of New York, September 11, 2001.
To recognise the significance of his work and contribution to the community,
Uno was nominated for a 'Dog of the Year' award from the AKC, USA.
After these events,
the GSDC of Victoria made contact with Uno's owner Pat and she gave them
this update :
"Uno was the grand
Marshall in a parade which we discovered that he is quite the 'ham'; he
loved the float, the crowds of people. He waved at the crowds and
smiled the whole time! He has been nominated as 'Dog of the Year'
for the American Kennel Club ACE Awards. We feel very honoured by
this award nomination. Do not know as of yet when the winner will
be announced, but the award will be given on October 30."

is being developed to provide on-line access to information on German
Shepherd Dogs in Australia, including the bloodlines influencing them from all around the world. Australian (GSDCA) data,
such as pedigrees, registration, tattoo, breed survey, titles, etc, is in the process of being made
available through this data source. Access will be via this website, which will
undergo transformation for some subscription based accesses.
